Pastor LaDawnna Hudson is the CEO and founder of Women of Power International
Ministries as well as the first lady and pastor of Shield of Faith Christian Center in Mesa, Arizona.
LaDawnna’s desire to help women stems from her early years of abuse, depression and poverty. Born
and raised in Detroit, Michigan in the late 50’s, fourth of nine children, she saw first hand the struggle
of her mother and other women being under educated, suffering with low self-esteem and being
abused by men who treated them more like property than a wife. She too suffered hard times being raped,
beaten, strangled, suffocated, run-down by a car and married to a man who tried to kill her twice.
LaDawnna's journey through her troubled past is what motivates her to help other hurting women
change their lives. Born again in 1984, her encounter with Jesus bought an undeniable change in her
life. She vowed to let go and let God pull her out of her old life to a place of prosperity and spiritual
healing through Jesus Christ. Because of this belief, the Women of Power International Ministries was
birth with the vision of seeing total restoration for all women. Her desire is to see women transformed,
having successful careers, emotional stability, and financial prosperity.
Pastor LaDawnna Hudson is truly an incredible woman of God, with a model that "we can do all
things through Christ", and believes whole heartedly "that nothing is impossible with God." Pastor
LaDawnna Hudson is the wife of Senior Pastor William Hudson of Shield of Faith Christian Center,
Mesa, Arizona and has three sons, Michael, DeAndre and Brandon as well as six grandchildren.
