In response to the ever growing needs of women, the The Betty Ballard Lighthouse Women's Resource
Center, a state of the art, one-stop resource center for women in need of assistance,
will help them to re-establish their lives, rebuild self-esteem and flourish, regardless
of life.s circumstances.
The The Betty Ballard Lighthouse Women's Resource Center (BBLWRC) is a subsidiary of Women of Power
International (WOPI), a non-profit corporation founded in December of 2001 by
Pastor LaDawnna Hudson. WOPI received its 501 (c) 3 non-profit status from the Internal
Revenue Service in November 2005.
LWRC focuses on issues that affect women's daily lives such as unemployment, lack of
education, childcare, divorce, poverty, death, income security, health and domestic violence.
Our motto is, "No issue turned away and no woman turned down...."
The driving force behind the LWRC is to show women how to make use of the resources
available to them so that they can become self-sufficient and independent. We do this
by providing a variety of training opportunities and continuing educational classes both
inside and outside of the LWRC. This will enable women to receive the services they need
to efficiently seek after a wide array of employment opportunities.
