The Lighthouse Women's Resource Center

The LWRC will provide its clients with programs and services that foster independence and tenacity, promote financial responsibility and rebuild self-esteem. The LWRC was not designed to help only women in crisis, but it will also help women who desire to further their personal development and professional careers by creating new ideas that help them achieve their goals.

The center's staff and volunteers include experts in counseling, legal affair, personal development, nutrition, education, finances and accounting who are more than qualified to help our clients revolutionize their lives.

Amongst the LWRC's many services are the following:

Community Resource Assistance Program is a referral program that helps women in crisis find up-to-date community resources for their specific needs.

Career Empowerment Center will help women who are unemployed or underemployed gain job skills that are necessary for obtaining gainful or more gainful employment.

Abundant Life Classes address issues and help women acquire skills to overcome obstacles that have kept them from living happy, healthy lives.

A Brand New Me Self-Esteem Workshops will be a four-part series of seminars on self-esteem issues for women.

My Sister's Keeper Mentoring Program will pair strong, successful, professional women with goal-oriented women who desire success.

Helping Hands Legal Services will be a 30-minute free consultation with an attorney, that will help community women, ages 18 and over, to make well-informed decisions based upon clear knowledge of their legal rights and responsibilities.

Volunteer Program allows people to contribute their time and compassion to assist women in our community become self-reliant.

All About You Women's Library will be a quiet, peaceful environment that will provide women with books, CDs and DVDs designed to help them overcome many of the issues that are affecting their lives.

Nana's House Child Watch Program allows mothers of children between the ages of 1 and 11, utilize the center's services while their child or children are cared for in a safe environment.
